I have a Stern / Konami cab currently housing a Scramble. I have aquired 4 more Konami boards: Super Cobra (known working), Space Pilot (Time Pilot bootleg, known working), TazzMania (unknown condition) & Super Basketball (unknown condition). I'm also attempting to get a Gyruss to complete the 6 games I will use in the multi-game cabinet.
9-28-2009 Started by disassembling the control panel and cleaning all parts.
10-21-2009 Had to wire power and ground directly to boards to overcome burnt traces and a burnt edge connector on both the main pcb and the video driver board. I affectionately call them Franken-Pole and Franken-Audio! (Scary lookin stuff)
I figure if I'm going to build a game room, I might as well start with my favorite game. Over the years, I've collected a few pieces and parts to a Scramble cabinet, but still have a long way to go.
Here's what I need:
19" Monitor
Sept 12, 2009 Here's what I have so far:
1 Scramble Cabinet
(condition: beat-up and painted an ugly gray. When I aquired it, I tried stripping the gray paint off with mixed results. At least I have a template of the graphic if I choose to repaint it. The wiring harness inside and the coin door seem to be intact as well)
Finally! This is the game I've been hooked on since I was a teen. Thanks to John for a monitor for it. It took a bit of restoration on the cabinet, a resurrection of the harness, but with the exception of the monitor, it's all original stuff down to the power supply board.
Phoenix Cocktail Table
My 2nd Game. The screen and controls are spot on. The cabinet has a little wear and the legs need some rust taken off, but all in all a clean and nice looking machine.
